In the
early forties, two items in particular characterize the Italian modernity
and the "renaissance": the Lambretta (a motorscooter by Innocenti)
and the first automatic vending machine for coffee, made by Victoria Arduino.
In Rome, in 1950, Caffè Berardo is opened; being near Montecitorio,
it is a meeting place for the bourgeoisie and the political class. The machines
chosen by the Caffè Berardo are two Victoria Arduino 4 group lever
models named Supervat. From the workshops of
Victoria Arduino the first models called "furniture
bar" come out, precursors of those that will be in the kiosk
bars. |
