HERITAGE MODELS

WE HAVE COME A LONG WAY AND OUR HISTORY IS OUR STRENGTH

Our memory is our heritage

This section contains a continually expanding collection of iconic espresso machines, a heritage of Victoria Arduino. These coffee machines represent the original Victoria Arduino style, including artisan planning, attention to design and the search for technical solutions for espresso that still characterize our every machine.

1905

LA VICTORIA. THE FIRST MACHINES

In the early 20th century Pier Teresio Arduino used his skills to build this coffee machine. With these features the espresso machine, “La Victoria” was born.

1910

“DUAL TAP SYSTEM” PATENT

In 1910, the “dual-tap system” was patented (Registration No 108873. 325/159) and applied to a new coffee machine that had a filter holder with a handle and a container with a filter.

1920

“TIPO FAMIGLIA”. THE FIRST HOME MACHINE

The “family type” model of 1920, in chrome and using electricity, prepared up to six coffees. The coffee machine was 30 cm high and when the steam reached optimal pressure, the water was released.

1922

“TIPO EXTRA” COFFEE MACHINE

The Tipo Extra coffee machine of 1922 was produced in various versions from the smallest, with a 6 litre boiler, to a 4 group machine with a 50 litre boiler capable of producing 800 coffees per hour.

1922

“THE MURAL MACHINE”

In 1922 Arduino patented “The mural coffee machine” bolted to the wall of the room and fed with water coming directly from the mains, using a hand lever.

1927

THE MACHINE WITH PUMP PATENTED IN 1927

In 1927 La Victoria Arduino got certification for a “system to get the espresso using water at a temperature below boiling point and with two groups.”

1928

“TIPO MIGNON” MACHINE

The “Mignon Type” machine had a size and functions designed for a family. The coffee machine did not have a boiler. With electrical heating it was able to produce one or two cups per minute

1929

“TIPO CIOCCOLATO” MACHINE

The “Chocolate Type” model of coffee machine had continuous distribution and with an electrical system inside.

1930

“TIPO SPECIALE” MODELS

The “Special Type” espresso coffee machines were gigantic, 1560 mm high and 1070 mm wide, with an 80 litre boiler.

1933

900 AVALVE SERIES

The “900 AVALVE Model” coffee machine of 1933, had patents for the new faucet and the nickel groups, getting all the benefits of being steam and watertight, with minimal maintenance.

1946

WAT SERIES

In 1946 Victoria Arduino collaborated with Luigi Caccia Dominoni who took charge of design. The “WAT series” coffee machine went from the “Unovat” model with one group, to the “Supervat” and “Watt” with four groups.

1951

THE CARREL BAR

From 1951 there was the “Carrel bar” a portable cart, with a coffee machine boiler for walking baristas. In a short time this became part of the landscape at the most important fairs.

1953

THE AUTOMATIC MACHINE MODEL

In the Fifties, Victoria Arduino built his first vending machine for espresso using tokens, the kind that we now see everywhere.

1955

MARZIANA MODEL

In 1955 Victoria Arduino launched a new automatic continuous delivery espresso machine “with patented heat exchanger” which evolved into the Marziana model.

1958

THE AUTOMATIC MACHINE MODEL

In 1958 Victoria Arduino offered three new models of coffee machine: the “Olympia Series” lever machine with 2 brewing groups, as well as the “Record” and the “Eagle” automatic models.

1961

SERIE SUPERGA

In 1961 came the “Superga Series” machines with both lever and automatic machines

1968

SERIE VENUS

At the end of the sixties vertical coffee machines resumed production, known and appreciated for their charm the ‘Venus‘ and ‘Venus Family‘ are still in production today.

2005

VENUS CENTURY

In 2005, on its centenary, Victoria Arduino presented a collector’s item, the ‘Venus Century‘, a vertical espresso machine in minimalist style and with just 100 numbered pieces. Number ‘000’ was donated to Pope Benedict XVI, who had declared his passion for espresso.
