The professional barista winners of their respective national championships from African and Middle Eastern countries account for over ten percent of competitors from around the world. Victoria Arduino, technical partner of the WBC as provider of the official competition coffee machine, the VA388 Black Eagle, provides a preview. Livingstone is the home of the Mighty Victoria Falls called “Mosi-oa-tunya” by the locals meaning “the Smoke that thunders” hence my nick name Mr. Smoke that Thunders. I have been a barista for nine years now and I enjoy working around coffee.
