Once at Nuova Simonelli to get to know the new Victoria Arduino espresso machine, Theresia, several representatives of the trade and economic press did not want to miss two concurrent cultural events: the keynote address by architect Massimiliano Fuksas and the opening night of Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi at the Sferisterio. For the two major Italian financial newspapers were Alessandra Malpezzi (Italia Oggi – Class) and Ilaria Vesentini (Il Sole 24 ore). For the trade sector: Alessandra Zecchinon from Venice (Ristorazione italiana), Gianni Pistrini from Trieste (Amici del Caffè), Roberto Martinelli from Bologna (Ristorazione & Catering), Luisa Contri from Milan (Artù), Angela Vicentini from Milan (Comunicaffè), Michela Cariglia from Trieste (Coffee Colours), Sara Papa from Roma, host of the television program “Pane, amore e fantasia…” (Bread, Love and Dreams …) on Alice TV (Sky), Lisa Bellocchi from Bologna, host of the weekly Rai 3, “Prodotto Italia” (Product of Italy) and Sandra Bianco, a journalist of Italian origin who works in Munich for the German magazine “Crema”. It was a welcome surprise for them because they did not know the Macerata Opera Festival and were all impressed by the special atmosphere offered by the Sferisterio Arena on opera evenings.
